Our suite of Project Management workshops and support services will help you to get the most out of your project management performance development efforts.  As with all of our offerings, these can be customized to meet your exact needs.

Our workshops cover principles, tools, and techniques to help your project teams become more effective.  To meet these goals, we work with you and your teams to develop a unique, custom training strategy. Then we provide a custom-tailored, on-site PM workshop that incorporates your local PM vision and values, we use your own local project scenarios and “real world” projects, that allow your teams to move all the project plans and strategies  and  to incorporate them  in their projects.

Our workshops are designed to facilitate the analysis, discovery and adoption of solutions to your own specific project management problems. Our workshops are two to three day long sessions were our top consultant facilitates the delivery of ideas and solutions that your own team will develop. This approach has been successful in the adoption of the changes that your team needs to incorporate in their own practices.

Workshop Approach

PM4DEV provides a full range of project management and leadership training that is conducted on the client's site. Our approach to project management training is different than that of other project management service organizations. We focus on rapidly maturing the project management and leadership skills of our students.

We provide successful and proven project management techniques, not just project management theory. Our classes consist of a balanced amount of lecture, discussion and simulation workshops. We take a coaching and mentoring approach with our students. After the completion of the course, students are welcome to contact us toll free with their questions or contact us on our web site utilizing our free Ask the PM Coach feature.

• Participants will be spending most of their time active and involved, practicing skills that will help them be better project managers and project team members. All participants complete a comprehensive quiz on the basics and then are exposed to active learning sessions with relevant hands-on exercises.
• Each workshop is part of a comprehensive system, including job aids and follow-up coaching, that ensures your new project managers will practice and be able to use their new PM skills on the job.
• Participants are presented by instructors with 10+ years of experience in project management and training..
• Every participant in our custom on-site workshops will receive a complimentary copy of our book, Fundamentals of Project Management, 2nd edition (disk included). This book contains the tools, worksheets, and guidelines to help manage projects easier and more effectively! Participants practice applying many of these tools and can use the book as a powerful reference after the workshops

Essentials of Project Management - To provide teams and individuals with the skills needed to take a results-oriented approach to short term projects and other day-to-day responsibilities. This workshops is designed to help those that are new to project management to have the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of managing projects, and then apply those fundamentals to their own projects. This workshops will provide project managers, teams and individuals with the skills needed to take a results-oriented approach to short term projects and other day-to-day responsibilities.

Intermediate Project Management - To provide a methodology to ensure that projects are managed in a way that ensures consistent success. This is a fast-paced, engaging workshop, those with minimal to moderate project management experience will have the opportunity to learn the keys to successful project management. This workshops will provide a methodology to ensure that projects are managed in a way that ensures consistent success.

Advanced Project Management - To provide a customized, client-specific process for managing projects. Incorporates PM4DEV methodology into an existing (or to-be-designed) development project management process. Specifically designed for project managers who have mastered the fundamentals and are in need of more advanced subject matter. This workshops offers a customized approach for providing them with advanced performance development opportunities. We start with an assessment of their current capabilities and needs, and then develop a customized 2-3 day workshop that covers the topics that will be of greatest value to them.

Process Development/Integration Session - Integration of Project Management Tools/Techniques into existing organization procedures, policies and, protocols, etc.

Team Management - To build the project team skills, the workshop puts emphasis in team building exercises and techniques for team conflict management.
